Place Cards are a great supplemental tool to use with your students that are having a hard time understanding place value. I used them with my kids today and they loved them! They really helped the understand expanded form. They had a hard time understanding that 30 +4 is the same as 34. They know there are 3 tens but understanding that the 3 tens is 30 was difficult for them to grasp. Well these cards helped a lot because they were able to visually see what each number means.
